The Writing Report (May)

friendly-catI completed a lot of writing in the past couple of months!

1. The Bad Tom Series (Witch/Cat-Shifter Fantasy/Adventure/Semi-Romance)

I completed the rough draft of the first book in the Bad Tom series.

The book is still very rough, and I am going to try to complete the other two books in the series before I publish it. I have my work cut out for me on that, and I expect it won’t be published until early next year. Because the books in the series really can’t stand alone, I want to make sure that readers have the next book available if they enjoyed the first.

My hope is that you’ll find it a compelling story and have a laugh or two :-)

Ring of fire2. Dragon Tender: Book Three in the Fae Unbound Teen/Young Adult Fantasy Series

The outline for Dragon Tender is now complete, and the book grew a lot from the original concept. I ended up combining it with the fourth book in the series. It will introduce a host of new characters and include characters in the main story who have only been mentioned before (because they were in Europe).

The story will cut back and forth between France and the U.S. as the Elves become increasingly dangerous to humans. While Lizbet, Tanji, James, and Eamon will be on hand to battle the threat, the new character of Avenall (a young elf) will be extremely important in helping them out.

I start writing the rough draft of Dragon Tender this coming weekend because I can’t hold off any longer! I have a million other things I should be doing, but I am really excited about the story now.

That’s it for now. Please never hesitate to contact me if you have questions or suggestions about the series. I would love to hear them!

Jill
